Tomato "Svoi Krupnye Krasnye" (Russian: Свои крупные красные от Галины, English: Galina's Own Large Red) is a collection tomato variety of folk breeding (heirloom). It gained widespread popularity by being shared among growers, valued for its reliability, hardiness, and authentic taste of large, homegrown tomatoes.

Variety Characteristics:
  • Plant type: Indeterminate (tall), the bush is vigorous, well-developed, and features a strong main stem.
  • Ripening period: Mid-season variety with a long and stable fruiting period.
  • Fruit: Large, flat-round shape, featuring a slight, elegant ribbing near the stem.
  • Color: Uniform, rich bright red.
  • Fruit weight: Typically between 200 to 400 grams. With proper care and cluster thinning, individual record fruits can reach up to 600 grams or more.
  • Flesh and taste: The flesh is dense, very meaty, and juicy, displaying a classic beefsteak structure. The flavor is deeply rich and sweet, balanced with a pleasant traditional tomato tartness and a strong aroma.
  • Yield: High and dependable, setting fruit well even under fluctuating weather conditions.
  • Purpose: Excellent for fresh consumption, slicing, and salads, as well as an outstanding choice for making thick homemade juices, rich sauces, and pastes.
  • Growing features: Best trained to 1–2 stems with mandatory regular suckering (pruning). Due to the substantial weight of the heavy fruit clusters, robust staking and branch reinforcement are required.
