French Kiss

Tomato "French Kiss" is a magnificent, high-yielding rare collectible large-fruited tomato variety originating from France. It is deeply appreciated by tomato enthusiasts for its robust disease resistance, massive cluster sets, and the superb flavor of its dense, meaty texture.
Main Characteristics of the Variety
- Bush type: Indeterminate (tall). The plant is strong and vigorous, growing up to 1.5–1.8 meters under greenhouse conditions.
- Ripening period: Mid-season.
- Yield: Outstandingly high. The vine sets enormous, heavy clusters, effectively wrapping the whole plant in fruit. It features high resistance to traditional nightshade diseases.
- Pruning and training: Pruning to 2–3 stems is recommended, although training strictly to a single stem yields the largest individual fruits. Requires mandatory suckering and very sturdy staking support.
Fruit Description
- Color and shape: The tomatoes feature a gorgeous, highly appealing pear (or pouch) shape. Fully ripe fruits display a deep, classic vibrant red color.
- Weight: A heavy giant variety; the fruits average around 100-200 grams, but with optimal care and cluster management, single giants easily scale up to 300-500 grams.
- Taste qualities: The interior is incredibly fleshy, solid, and dense, with almost no seed cavities or excess running juice. The flavor profile is exceptional — well-balanced and sweet, accompanied by a refreshing light touch of acidity.
- Usage: Truly universal. Ideal for fresh slicing in summer salads. Due to its low moisture and dense texture, it is one of the absolute best heirloom choices for making thick reduction sauces, pastes, artisanal ketchup, and sun-drying/dehydrating
