Alice’s Dream tomato is a popular indeterminate (tall-growing) bicolor tomato variety bred by Polish breeder Zbigniew Pawluczuk.
Key characteristics of the variety
- Origin: Poland (breeder: Zbigniew Pawluczuk; a hybrid line from a cross between Blue Gold and Amethyst Jewel / indigo).
- Growth habit: Indeterminate (tall-growing), reaching 1.8 to 2.2 meters in height; requires staking and removal of side shoots (usually trained to 1–2 stems).
- Ripening time: Mid-season or mid-early (approximately 110–115 days from germination).
- Fruit: Large and flattened-round, weighing 150 to 350 g (some specimens reach 400 g or more).
- Color: Exotic and striking. The base color is yellow-orange with bright red stripes and streaks, while the shoulders are blue-purple (with a high anthocyanin content). When cut, the flesh is orange with red-pink marbling.
- Flavor: Sweet, creamy, and buttery, with a rich fruity aroma and almost no acidity
